What im looking forward to on my 8th grade trip:
On my 8th grade trip I'm most looking forward to the bus ride and the hotel. The bus ride is the funnest thing about the whole trip. And the hotel is like totally fun because your with all your friends and especially when we get to swim. I like the bus ride there and back because we can talk, text, play, do whatever on the bus, and we never really get in trouble for like yelling across the bus. The hotel is fun because your in a new place and its just cool. Those are the 2 things in looking forward to on the 8th grade trip this year.

Surveillance Cameras...
Yes, i do think there should be cameras in public places, because some people do some things that there not supposed to do. Like still things or do things that aren't appropriate. Privacy is another big thing that we need cameras for.

The Holocaust - Displaced Persons...
This is what i learned about Displaced Persons dearing the Holocaust....
From 1945 to 1952, more than 250,000 Jewish displaced persons (DPs) lived in camps and urban centers in Germany, Austria, and Italy. These facilities were administered by Allied authorities and the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration (UNRRA). Among the concerns facing these Jewish DPs in the years following the Holocaust were the problems of daily life in the displaced persons camps, Zionism, and emigration.
Soon after liberation, survivors began searching for their families. UNRRA established the Central Tracing Bureau to help survivors locate relatives who had survived the concentration camps. Public radio broadcasts and newspapers contained lists of survivors and their whereabouts. The attempt to reunite families went hand-in-hand with the creation of new ones; there were many weddings and many births in the DP camps.
Schools were soon established and teachers came from Israel and the United States to teach the children in the DP camps. Orthodox Judaism also began its rebirth as yeshiva (religious schools) were founded in several camps, including Bergen-Belsen, Hohenwald, and Felding. Religious holidays became major occasions for gatherings and celebrations. Jewish volunteer agencies supplied religious articles for everyday and holiday use. The conditions where horrible there they had little food to eat, they always had to work, and there had little clothing. DP camps.

In my English class we are going to read this book called Call of the Wild By: Jack London. its about a dog that's on the Iditarod. We are learning about the Iditarod in class. My favorite musher on the Iditarod is Bruce Linton. He seems like a really cool person to meet. He has diabetes and hes convinced tons of diebetics to go out and do the things that normal people can do.my second favorite is Dee Dee Jonrowe. she is a breast cancer serviver. All her dogs wear pink to represent that and she wears pink also. And then my third favorite is Lance Mackey. He is a throat cancewr surviver and he almost died. He said if it wasnt for his dog angel he wouldnt be alive. He said she is litterally his angel. Well i cant wait to read the book so.......

Name: Oil Spills
Common causes: When oil of any type is released into the natural environment, the result is termed an oil spill. Most people think of marine oil spills when they visualize an oil spill, but the escape of oil into the natural environment is a problem on land as well. Since many humans rely heavily on petroleum products such as plastic, fuel, and lubricating oil, oil spills are an unfortunate byproduct of the human way of life. A number of things cause oil spills, ranging from carelessness to deliberate dumping.
Recent oil spills:
On Jan. 23 and Jan. 24 there was a oil spill in Port Arthur, Texas, the Associated Press misidentified the ship involved. The ship was named the Eagle Otome.
Species being effected by oil spills:
A bunch of different kinds of fish are being effected and a bunch of sea otters and any kind of species in the water!!!
Personal feeling about the condition:
I think people should try and be more careful with this kind of thing!!!
